Young Marketer Receives Top Accolade at VMA Annual Awards

Anna Thomas, Agria Pet Insurance, has been awarded the coveted Veterinary Marketing Association Young Marketer of the Year Award.

Announced at the VMA’s prestigious Annual awards event held in London on Friday 16th March 2017, a delighted Ms Thomas [pictured] said: ” I am absolutely thrilled to be here today and I am so happy that I have won. Thank you very much to Agria Pet Insurance for supporting me throughout the process, it really was a fantastic experience and I am looking forward to what the future will bring. Thank you.”

Sponsored by British Dairying magazine and supported by the VMA, the award is intended to recognise the young marketer who has demonstrated marketing flair within the animal health industry. In addition to receiving a certificate of achievement and being invited to join the VMA committee, Ms Anna Thomas also wins a CPD bursary worth £2,000 to put towards marketing training, plus a personal award of £500.

The Young Marketer judges, Dr Mo Gannon and Mr Stephen Dann said: “Anna demonstrated a great mix of energy, enthusiasm, team work and results.”

The VMA would also like to extend its congratulations to all the finalists for their excellent submissions and judging day case study reviews. Each finalist receives a certificate and a personal award of £100:

  • Highly Commended – Hamzah Malik – Veterinary Business Development,
  • Finalist – Matt Yarnall – Boehringer Ingelheim.

Commenting about the Award, VMA Chair Jane Manning says: “The VMA is proud to be able to support the next generation of marketing talent coming through our industry.
