Taking the Pulse of Veterinary Marketers – State of the Nation Report Launched at the VMA Annual Awards

The UK’s first comprehensive market research report on animal health marketing trends, The State of the Nation report, was launched at [last Friday’s] Veterinary Marketing Association (VMA) Annual Awards ceremony in London.

The project, is a brand-new initiative from the VMA and forms part of the association’s commitment to keep animal health marketers informed on animal health marketing trends, was greatly welcomed by a thrilled audience.

VMA Chair Jane Manning said: “The study provides real insights that are as interesting as they are useful. The survey compares industry and veterinary practice throughout its seven categories; media, people, training, marketing spend, employment, industry, and challenges and opportunities.

“And the most exciting part is that this is just the beginning! A benchmark survey will be launched later this year to create our first of what we hope will be many comparables,” she added.

The State of the Nation report was designed by the VMA to provide its members with marketing insights within the UK animal health industry.

This inaugural report is based on solid market research methodology. 241 marketers from across the veterinary, pharma and animal health arena took part in this inaugural State of the Nation survey in 2017. The research will be completed on an annual basis to allow identification of trends and act as a temperature check for marketing within the animal health sector.
