Abigail King, Senior Product Manager at Ceva Animal Health, has been awarded the coveted Veterinary Marketing Association New Marketing Talent Award, 2019.
British Dairying magazine, sponsors of the Award, contacted Abigail with the good news following the postponement of the VMA Annual Awards event.
A delighted Ms King said: “I feel extremely honoured to have won the ‘New Marketing Talent’ award, it is an extremely great feeling to be awarded for doing a job you love! I am really excited by the prizes, especially the marketing bursary, and look forward to making use of them later in the year.”
The award recognises a marketer, with less than five years’ experience, who has demonstrated marketing flair within the veterinary or animal health industry. In addition to receiving a certificate of achievement and being invited to join the VMA committee, Ms King also wins a bursary worth £2,000 towards her on-going marketing training and development as well as a personal prize of £500 in cash.
The New Marketing Talent Award judges, Dr Mo Gannon and Mr Stephen Dann said:
“Competition for the Award this year was a very close call, resulting in debate for some 30 minutes before agreeing on who the winner should be. Abbie clearly demonstrated exceptional performance on the case study, namely her depth of thought, the ideas generated and the way in which she brought the marketing plan to life.”
The VMA would also like to extend its congratulations to all the finalists for their excellent submissions and judging day case study reviews. Each finalist receives a certificate and a personal cash award of £100:
- William Peel, TVM UK Animal Health Ltd
- Lucy Chadwick, Forte Healthcare Ltd
