Matthew has run his own business-to-business communications agency since the late 1990s, having previously spent time working for an agricultural supply company after completing his degree in Agriculture at Wye College.

Specialising in animal health/veterinary marketing communications for the past 20 years, Matthew has a great knowledge of the sector. This, he believes, made him a suitable candidate to take over as Chairman of the VMA for two years from 2010-2012. He remains an active committee member and has, for the past few years, been on the VMA Marketing Awards sub-committee helping organise this popular annual event.

Digital communications are a particular speciality, and Matthew has been responsible for some of the VMA’s e-comms and the organisation’s website. He’s also well known by the sales teams of the UK’s veterinary and farming magazines as one of their biggest buyers of media for his clients.

In his spare time, Matthew runs anywhere and everywhere from the weekly Andover parkrun up to full marathons. When time allows, he also helps organise charity challenges for a number of different charities.
