New Chair of the VMA

The Veterinary Marketing Association is pleased to announce Liz Rawlings as its new Chair. Liz takes over the role from Jane Manning.

‘The animal health industry is continuing to evolve at a fast pace and it is vital that the VMA continues in its evolution to support the needs of our members’ says Liz. ‘My goal over the next 2 years is to continue to enhance the offering of the VMA, reflecting the changing and diverse needs of our members. A number of great initiatives have been developed by previous chairs which will continue to be progressed and we will continue to grow our animal health focussed community.’

Liz believes that ‘With the continued diversification of roles and responsibilities, many people are involved in marketing without having any formal training or a professional support network. We want to ensure that the VMA is accessible for marketers across the full spectrum of experience and skill and we will continue to develop content and tools suitable for everyone. The VMA is very much an inclusive association, open to everyone involved in marketing at any level and we welcome interaction with potential new members.’

Liz is Communications Manager at Dechra Veterinary Products and is responsible for all aspects of internal and external communication for the business in the UK & Ireland. She joined the committee in 2014 after being shortlisted for the VMA Young Marketer of the Year Award.
